Ingredients:
- Urd Dal - 1 1/4 Cup
- Ragi Powder - 1 Cup
- Salt - To Taste
Method:
- Soak the urd dal for 30 mins
- Grind the soaked urdal in a mixi jar until till it becomes fluffy and smooth as shown below
Note: Add water little by little ..if water is added more then it will be very liquid which makes idly very hard
- Now transfer the urd dal in to large vessel or bowl and add the ragi flour
- add salt per taste and mix well
- Add water if required
- Keep it aside for at-least 12 hrs
- Once u see the batter raised well its ready to use
- In a idly steamer Pour the batter into the idly molds and cook as regular idly
- With the same batter u can make dosa and paniyaram adjusting the water level
