Ingredients:
- Basmati Rice - 1 cup
- Coconut Milk - 2 cup
- Onion sliced - 1
- Tomato Chopped - 1/2
- Red chilles or Green Chillies - 3
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
- Bay leaf - 1
- Cinnamon - 1
- Start anise - 1
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Salt -as per taste
- Ghee - 3-4 tbsp
- In A pan heat ghee and add Bay leaf,cinnamon,cumin seeds and star anise
- After they sautes add the sliced onions and Chillies
- Fry till they are golden brown and then add the ginger garlic paste
- Once the raw smell of Ginger Garlic paste are gone add the tomatoes
- After few mins,Add 2 cups of Coconut milk (this is a mix of all three times taken milk)
- Add salt
- When it comes to boiling
- Add one cup of soaked Basmati rice
- Switch the Stove to simmer and close the kadai with the lid
- After 15 mins switch off the stove and 1 tbsp of ghee
- mix well and serve hot
Basmati rice is NOT used for this traditionally so this is all wrong.
