Ingredients:

  • Basmati Rice - 1 cup
  • Coconut Milk - 2 cup
  • Onion sliced - 1
  • Tomato Chopped - 1/2
  • Red chilles or Green Chillies - 3
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Cinnamon - 1
  • Start anise - 1
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Salt -as per taste
  • Ghee - 3-4 tbsp
Method:
  • In A pan heat ghee and add Bay leaf,cinnamon,cumin seeds and star anise
  • After they sautes add the sliced onions and Chillies
  • Fry till they are golden brown and then add the ginger garlic paste
  • Once the raw smell of Ginger Garlic paste are gone add the tomatoes
  • After few mins,Add 2 cups of Coconut milk (this is a mix of all three times taken milk)
  • Add salt
  • When it comes to boiling
  • Add one cup of soaked Basmati rice
  • Switch the Stove to simmer and close the kadai with the lid
  • After 15 mins switch off the stove and 1 tbsp of ghee
  • mix well and serve hot

  1. Basmati rice is NOT used for this traditionally so this is all wrong.
