Ingredients:

  • Country Chicken - 1/4 kg
  • Shallots (sambar onion) diced - 1/2 cup
  • Tomato (big) - 1
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Gingerly oil - 1cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper -to taste
  • Corinader - For garnish
  • Curry leaves -2-3 Strands
For Masala : 
  • Shallots - 8-10 nos
  • Dhaniya seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Pepper corns - 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies - 4-5 nos
  • Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Jerra - 1/4 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - !/4 tbsp
Method :
  • Grind all the ingredients For masala in a mixi jar as a smooth paste
  • In a cooker pan heat 1/2 a cup of gingerly oil and add mustard seeds
  • After the mustard seeds crackle add curry leaves and diced shallots
  • When the shallots are translucent add Ginger garlic paste
  • Wait till the raw smell goes
  • Next add the tomatoes and cook it they are fully mashed
  • Now add the cleaned and diced chicken pieces
  • Saute Till water from the chicken oozes out 
  • Now add salt and the Grinded masala
  • Add two cup of water
  • Close the cooker lid and keep for atleast 4 whistles
  • Garnish with Coriander leaves
  • Can be made thick or thin as u wish
