Horse Gram Paratha (Kollu Paratha)


Horse gram have high nutretinal values as well as medical values . it cures colds in mins,but apart from all the major benifits of horse gram i use it maily for my diet ..yes u are right for diet,horse gram is a great thing for diet it reduced fat from ur body than any thing else..and being a person ready to do anything for reducing my weight my first choice was horse gram,but i do get bored of eating it the regular way daily so made this paratha , which surprisingly was sooo yummy and even liked by my neighbour kid ,
here goes the recipe 



INGREDIENTS :

  • Horse Gram - 1 Cup
  • Wheat Flour - 1  Cup
  • Shallots - 5 nos
  • Green Chilli - 3 no
  • Jerra - 1/4 tpsp
  • Coriander seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  • Coconut oil - 1/2 tbsp
  • curry leaves - 2 strands
  • Salt to taste

Method:
  • Pressure Cook The horse gram for atleast 10 whistle till they are soft 
  • drain the excess water and keep it aside
  • in a small pan heat coconut oil and add jeera, corainder seeds , shallots and green chilli and saute for a min
  • now pour the fried shallots and others to cooked horse gram and transfer to a mixi jar
  • blend the mixture funti they are all mixed well and add salt
  • not in a separate bowl add the cup of wheat flour and the blended horse gram mixture and knead till it becomes a soft dough
  • then in a flat surface roll the dough to thin parathas 
  • in a high heated dosa tawa cook the parathas
  • serve with raita, pickle or veg kurma


 Notes :
  • Dont waste the drained water from the horse gram u can use it for any other purpose or even make rasam with it here
